GIF'ing Your Thoughts On Social Media Is The New Fun Thing To Do

I don’t know about you but it almost feels like my birthday crept up on me this year.
Even though I really don’t throw large parties or anything like that, i really look forward to it. For me, it’s like an alarm that I get to snooze once every year and reset for another 8,760 hours.
But this year..
Without saying more than those three words, almost everybody in the world (P.S: translate to your language) can relate and fill up the blanks. We’ve all been through a lot this bloodsucking 2020 and those three words would suffice, because a thousands can’t even sufficiently convey our experiences.
So I try to share my experience on Twitter, and after typing the words, the next thing is I start looking for a GIF that suits the message. I do that every now and then. I try to GIF my feelings and thoughts as much as I can because it’s interesting and fun to do.
GIFs have become so popular. In case you haven’t heard, popular GIF website Giphy has become the world’s second largest search engine in terms of total searches, only behind Google.
Tired? You can GIF it.
Scared? You can GIF it.
Surprised? You can GIF it.
There’s a GIF for almost every and any emotion or message you need to pass across.
No wonder marketers are now jumping on this massive opportunity to push brand messages.
Like Google, GIF search engines like Giphy and Tenor also have algorithms that determine which content or GIF will rank highest in search results. It’s the new kind of search engine, and if you already know about SEO (..you do, right?), you should also know that GEO or GIF engine optimization also exists.
What was I talking about before? Oh yes, my birthday.
So, how did you celebrate your birthday in this COVID-19 times?
